Walt Doyle
President & CEO

Walt’s passion for emerging technology has kept him on the leading edge of consumer media and technology for over 15 years. Prior to joining Where, Inc. in 2005, Walt was a GM of MapQuest (AOL). His career began in Hong Kong with Dow Jones (DJ), then spanned executive level appointments with GameSpot (CNET), Net2Phone (IDT), and DialPad (YHOO). Walt’s ability to identify emerging technology trends, create corporate strategy, and build winning teams puts him squarely at the helm of Where, Inc. Most recently Walt was named a finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2010 program and was also named a Massachusetts High Tech All Star. Walt serves on the leadership board of the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council and is actively engaged in advisory capacity with numerous mobile start-ups in the Boston area. Walt left San Francisco for his native home of Boston in 2005 where he and his family are outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy fishing, biking, hockey, and travel. He is a graduate of Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

Ivan Mitrovic
Chief Technology Officer

Ivan has been at the forefront of the location-based services since he founded KMaps, a mobile LBS startup for Smartphones that was acquired by Where, Inc. KMaps was featured in Forbes, NYT, US Today, Information Week and many prominent mobile blogs. Ivan brings a wide range software development experience to Where, Inc. including leading the implementations of enterprise-grade applications for the largest banks in the world – Bank of America, Fleet, ABN AMRO, Nova Scotia Bank, CIBC and Sovereign Bank. A native of Montenegro, Ivan lived and worked in Belgium and Holland before making his home in Boston. His current field of interest is Big Data.

Nataly Kogan
Vice President, Consumer Experience

Nataly is an experienced entrepreneur, early-stage investor, and product development executive. Prior to Where, she was a Senior Program Manager with the Future of Social Experiences Labs at Microsoft, where she worked with small, agile teams to build innovative social, location-based, and real-time applications.
Prior to Microsoft, Nataly founded a media company, whose flagship site, Workitmom.com, is the largest online community for working moms. Nataly spent five years as a Managing Director with an early-stage venture firm in New York, where she led investments in software and Internet services start-ups, including Constant Contact and Scanbuy. She started her career as a Business Analyst with McKinsey & Company. Nataly graduated with High and University Honors from Wesleyan University. Nataly lives in Boston with her husband and daughter but is forever a New Yorker at heart.

Ron Braunfeld
Vice President, Business Development

Ron brings over 15 years experience in sales and business development to Where, Inc. Ron joined the team from Mapquest where he served as the Director of Business Development and played an instrumental role in the company’s dramatic growth. During his tenure at MapQuest, Ron (and his team) was responsible for over 20 Million in new revenue opportunities in the wireless, print, and software businesses. Prior to MapQuest, Ron served as Strategic Account Executive for eCal Corporation – bringing in new accounts such as AT&T, CBS, Switchboard, ZDNet, Net2Phone, Disney. Ron was also active in inner city Philadelphia successfully operating one of the first for-profit graffiti removal businesses in the nation. Ron has a BA from the University of New Hampshire and a MA from Temple University. Ron resides in Philadelphia area with his wife and 3 children and enjoys competing in triathlons in his free time.

Dan Gilmartin
Vice President, Sales & Marketing

Dan joins Where, Inc. from a successful stint as a carrier marketing consultant. Previously, Dan managed consumer location based-services for Sprint Nextel. In this role, he was responsible for the launch of the first family finding product in the wireless industry Sprint Family Locator, local search, and a host of other GPS enabled services. Prior to Sprint Nextel, Dan led product initiatives for VeriSign, a company he joined through a series of acquisitions including Network Solutions who acquired a start-up he helped launch, ImageCafe. Dan received his bachelor’s degree from Villanova University. When not working, Dan loves to spend time with his family, root for the New York Yankees and fly-fish.

David Chang
Vice President, Product & Strategy

David is a seasoned executive with a track record of success in mobile, media, and online search/advertising at venture-backed startups. He has over fifteen years of product, marketing, and technology experience at both direct-to-consumer and enterprise companies, five of which were acquired or IPO’d. On the consumer side, David was VP of Marketing and Co-founder of Mobicious, where he led product and marketing efforts. He was also Director of New Products at TripAdvisor, where he launched new features to meet consumers’ needs. On the enterprise side, David was Director of Product Marketing at m-Qube, a pioneer in the mobile content space. Earlier in his career, he held senior roles at edocs and Goldman Sachs.
David holds a BS with Distinction in Computer Science from Cornell University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and taking advantage of the unique culture of Boston and New England.

Scott Hendrickson
Vice President, Advertising Sales

Scott is a Senior Sales and Business Development executive with a proven track record of working with media properties to establish relationships with various Fortune 500 Brands, Advertising Agencies and Strategic Partners. Scott joined the team from Time Inc. where he served as Vice President Sales and Marketing overseeing Sports Illustrated’s Youth Portfolio. During his tenure, Scott reformulated the business’ brand architecture, aggressively expanded the business into new media verticals and launched a variety of highly profitable digital products to the trade and consumers. Prior to Time Inc., Scott spent 5 years serving DC Comics, a division of Warner Bros. Entertainment, in a variety of advertising sales and custom publishing roles. Scott has a B.S. from Penn State University and currently resides in New York City. During his free time, he serves as a Board Member of the international non-profit, Pitch in for Baseball and is in constant pursuit of his next adventure, be it on a mountain top or in the tropics.

Joshua Summers
Vice President, Advertising Operations

Joshua orchestrates the development of WHERE’s rapidly growing hyper-local advertising network, WHERE Ads™. He has been instrumental in forging key partnerships, product concepts and direct brand and agencies offerings. Joshua comes to WHERE through the acquisition of Zync, a local events recommendation service, where he was a founding partner in charge of operations. Previously, Joshua founded Business Innovation, a boutique consultancy serving mid sized businesses with enterprise and consumer technology solutions. Joshua’s career began at Sapient where he managed the delivery of solutions for companies like Manulife Financial, MassMutual, Citizens Bank, and Sallie Mae.
A double major at Carnegie Mellon University, Joshua holds a Bachelors of Science in both Industrial Management and Economics. Joshua enjoys spending time with his wife and son exploring both locally and internationally and undertaking extreme construction projects on his house.

Niall Hawkins
Vice President, Finance

Niall is an experienced finance and operations executive with more than 15 years of experience with early and emerging companies in the US and Europe. Previously, Niall spent several years as CFO and General Manager at Moreover Technologies, Inc. where he was part of the management team that successfully restructured the company through acquisition by VeriSign in October 2005. Niall has also enjoyed successful periods at CNET, BuyDirect, Inc and Beyond.com. Earlier in his career, Niall spent several years in the audit practices of Deloitte & Touche in Dublin and PricewaterhouseCoopers in Boston. A native of Galway City, Ireland, Niall lived in San Francisco and London before making his home in Boston. Niall holds a Bachelor of Commerce from National University Ireland Galway and is a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.

Doug Hurd
Vice President, Business Development
Doug has over 15 years of sales and business development experience in mobile and location based services. Prior to joining WHERE, Doug worked for Tele Atlas—now a division of TomTom—where he played an instrumental role in the growth of the company’s consumer wireless and internet business. A veteran of the mobile & web applications markets, Doug has established his credibility as a trusted advisor with OEMs, service providers and developers.
Doug is responsible for forging partnerships across the mobile ecosystem to embed WHERE in mobile devices. In addition, Doug develops and manages WHERE’s 3rd party content partnerships with a particular emphasis on monetization through subscription, search, advertising and mobile commerce. Doug holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Vermont’s School of Business Administration.

Arik Keller
Senior Director of Product, Merchant Services

Arik lead’s the company’s product solutions for merchants. He brings over 15 years of hands-on operational experience with three technology companies. Most recently, Arik was co-founder and CEO of LocalGinger, a Massachusetts-based social commerce company started in January 2010 and acquired by WHERE, Inc later that year. A self-funded start-up, LocalGinger grew 75 percent per quarter during its first year and was used by hundreds of smallbusinesses. Before LocalGinger, Arik spent three years as COO of DNSstuff, a leading web application used by over one million IT professionals. Prior to that, he was President of MindBranch, a leader in market research distribution, backed by Village Ventures and sold to MarketResearch.com in 2005. Arik began his career as a marketing executive at Hyatt International, expanding the hospitality company’s loyalty program worldwide. Arik holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Vermont and keeps busy with his wife and three daughters on Plum Island in Newburyport, MA.

Greg Warden
Vice President, Engineering
Greg brings a wealth of start-up and large company experience to Where.com’s engineering team.
Most recently at Thomson Reuters (NYSE:TRI), Greg was responsible for the technology and application teams supporting Thomson Reuters’ $400mm+ Investment Banking business. His teams delivered complex data search and visualization solutions, high-availability web services, and creative applications for Web, Desktop and Mobile. Prior to Thomson Reuters, Greg ran engineering for two successful startups. First, he co-founded PureSpeech (now part of Nuance (NASDAQ:NUAN)). His teams developed the world’s first commercial-grade large-vocabulary speaker-independent speech recognition engine. After PureSpeech, he built and ran the engineering team for the communications SAAS, EnvoyWorldWide (acquired by Varolli, Corp). There Greg honed his craft for high-availabliity systems, web service APIs, and high-volume telco/mobile solutions.
Greg has a passion for disruptive ideas, agile software methods, automated testing and cross-functional teams. If not in the office, you might find him at Fenway Park with his family, on the bike path commuting, or at the bridge table.
